Hi, I'm Katrina, a qualified proofreader and copy editor who studied with the New Zealand Institute of Business and passed with 'excellence'. I started my business in 2021 and I specialise in non-fiction which includes, but is not limited to:
manuscripts for books
business documents
manuals/operating guides
websites
I’ve completed a number of published books, corporate annual reports and financial statements, websites, blogs, operating guides, and advertising material.
I love what I do and take pride in helping my clients' businesses shine through their words and documents. I can help you to further establish yourself as an authority in your field and enhance your written words to potential and existing clients.
My office is based in Te Awamutu in the Waikato where I work remotely. I cover the whole of New Zealand and the rest of the world.
I'm also a qualified business administrator with over 30 years of administration experience working for corporates. My career has always seen me working with words and I've created company newsletters for marketing purposes, documented processes in the workplace and created training documentation guides for in-house purposes.
When I have some spare time, you'll find me walking our dog, Pippin, to clock up the kilometres, or playing golf with friends at my local course. You may also find me fishing somewhere when I get the chance!

What is copy editing?
My copy edit service will include checking your documents or content for the following:
- Use of excess words
- Grammar errors
- Wrong use of capital letters
- Spelling inconsistencies, e.g. color on one page and colour on another
- Typos, e.g. adn instead of and
- Continuity errors, e.g. an item listed as $30 in one paragraph and $300 in another

What are your fees?
My fees start from $40 per hour. If you’re not sure which service you need, complete the contact form below and I’ll get back to you.
I'm not based in the Te Awamutu. Will that matter?
No. I work remotely and have clients based throughout New Zealand and internationally. I can liaise with you wherever you are.
What are your business hours?
Monday to Friday – 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
When will you get back to me?
I’ll get back to you within 24 hours. If you contact me on a weekend, I'll get back to you on the Monday (public holidays excluded).
